The Municipal Chief Executive elect for Ketu South Hon. Maxwell Lugudor has called on chiefs, assembly members and opinion leaders in the Municipality to work together for the common good of all and also advised all to put aside partisan politics to ensure development.

He emphasized, he is in to work and to ensure that the developmental needs of Ketu South are met especially with respect to poverty eradication and providing the necessary support for all the people in the municipality.

He said,”I’ll do all it takes not to let Ketu South down and I’ll need all hands on deck to fight the war against poverty in our Municipality, deal with issues of health, water and sanitation as well as infrastructure development,” Hon. Lugudor said and stressed, “we’re all one people with a common destiny.”

Hon. Maxwell Lugudor who made the call shortly after receiving 86 per cent endorsement from the 57 Assembly members emphasized, if the Municipality will experience any real development, there must be unity of purpose and that there should not be a division along political party lines.

Hon. Maxwell Lugudor is a security expert, and on the security of the municipality, said there were pressing socio-economic issues, which could threaten the peace and security of the Municipality and that should be of concern to every well-meaning citizen of Ketu South.

He mentioned his plans of meeting with all the major stakeholders including traditional leaders, the Member of Parliament, previous MPs and MCEs on the best way to strategically position border security.

The member of parliament for Ketu South, Hon. Dzifa Abla Gomashie, promised to support the MCE in the development agenda of Ketu South and appealed to the government through Hon Lugudor and Dr Archibald Yao Letsa, the Regional Minister to have a look at the two main issues confronting the Municipality, thus, the continuous border closure and the tidal waves attacks threatening the livelihoods of the people.

Hon. Elliot Edem Agbenorwu, the outgoing MCE encouraged the Assembly members to lend their unflinching support to his successor Hon Maxwell Lugudor.

He said, “I’ve enjoyed your support and all I want from you is to lend the same support to my successor. It’s about the progress of Ketu South. Let’s do it for God and country.”
