On the 21st August, 2023 the Municipal Assembly, MP Abla Dzifa Gomashie and the Aflao market folks cut sod for the Construction of a market shed at the Aflao Market.

The construction company working on the project is Malycon Limited and the project is estimated to be completed by September ending. The source of funding is MPs Common Fund. The project is expected to benefit 12 market women and many other traders.
