Persons with disabilities in the Ketu South Municipality received a major boost as an international NGO, Joni and Friends, distributed assistive devices to improve mobility, independence, and access to daily life. The distribution exercise, held at the Municipal Assembly Hall, was organised in partnership with the Ketu South Municipal Assembly and Ketu South Professionals. Beneficiaries included children, adults, and the elderly living with physical disabilities across the municipality.
The items distributed included wheelchairs, armpit and elbow crutches, Zimmer frames, and walking sticks. Each beneficiary was assessed by a team of health and rehabilitation professionals to ensure the devices matched their specific needs.
