The Ketu South Municipal Assembly held the Second ordinary meeting of the third session of the 8th Assembly on the 27th October 2022. At the said meeting, pursuant to the requirements of Section 21 (1) of the PFM Act, 2016 (Act 921) and Sections 122 and 123 of the Local Governance Act, 2016, (Act 936) deliberated and approved the following documents for the financial year 2023; 2023 Annual Action Plan (AAP), 2023 Annual Composite Budget, Revenue Improvement Action Plan and Fee fixing resolutions.In the presentation, the Budget Analyst, informed the house that the revenue and expenditure performances of the implementation of the 2022 composite budget stood at 43% and 35% respectively as at August 2022. Thus, a total of GHȻ 5,690,023.11 was received from all revenue sources out of a total budget of GHȻ 13,332,485.55 and a total of GHȻ 4,661,422.56 was spent.On the budget for 2023, the total estimated revenue for the Assembly is 14,780,159.17 this is to pay for the various programs and projects of the Assembly.The following significant projects were captured in the budget; the completion of 20-unit lockable stores at Denu market, the completion of 28-unit lockable stores at Aflao Lorry Park, the completion of a police station at Gakli.The meeting was presided over by the Presiding Member (PM) Hon. Moses X. Kordorwu. The Municipal Chief Executive presented the EXECO report to the house, highlighting activities done and strategies for the coming year.
