TheKetu South Municipal Assembly in its quest to provide permanent solution to the tidal wave disaster that affected some of the coastal communities appealed to various corporate institutions for support to resettle the victims.

The Ghana Gas Company limited responded to the request of the Assembly with an amount of Two million Ghana Cedis (GHS 2,000,000) to construct permanent resettlement homes for the victims at Salakope – one of the coastal communities affected by the tidal waves. The Municipal Chief Executive handed over the site to the contractor to start preparatory works on access road to the site.
